  • 02Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • 03Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
  • 04Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • 05Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • 06Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
  • 07Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
  • 08Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
  • 09Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.
  • 10Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in housekeeping or related professional area. OR
  • Ensures compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures.
  • Understands the importance of department’s operation on the overall property financial goals and educates staff on details as appropriate.
  • Reviews staffing levels to ensure the guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.
  • Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check
  • outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
  • Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Supervises an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space.
Preferred qualifications
  • Participates in departmental meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results. Conducting Human Resources Activities
